Click on the other youtube link to the same video and you can read a few more comments.
Quote:
In fact, the car was a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9, NOT a Formula 1 race car. The driver was its owner, the film director Claude Lelouch, who is a car aficionado, but certainly no professional. (He was the ONLY person in the car.) The engine sounds were later over-dubbed, using Lelouch's Ferrari 275GTB.

There is some good videography in there. Although, out of the sites in Paris, why not get a shot of the tower? Granted the arch was in there, but I wanted to see the tower!!!

Like fast cars? I mean Really fast cars? Watch this vid.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/M3-GTR-nurburgring_97464.htm
It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The transmission whine is just a beautiful sound! Great combination of VERY fast car and VERY good driver
Not as fast as my 2.8 MJ obviously but pretty damn quick
Is there a thread somewhere for us to put "our favourite internet videos"?

I think the first vid was filmed from a scooter at 10mph then speeded up and dubbed after Image
